No soap from is being dispensed
- Check and clean tank and backflush unit. (pg. 4, M76 Instruction Manual )
- First check the detergent solution. It should not be much thicker than water itself. If you find a thick gummy solution in the bottom of the tank, WASH IT OUT.
- Check the small hole in the bottom of the Tank Vent Tube in the tank. If it is clogged, open it with a hairpin or small wire. (paper clip)
- Remove the Spray Tube Assembly from the handle by unscrewing it with your fingers or pliers.
- Open the cold water valve to allow ONLY A SMALL STREAM of water to flow from the spout. (Caution should be used not to open water valve too much as the water may spray up the wall in back of your sink when back-flushing)
- Place your index finger over the end of the tube and hold the RED detergent button on the handle down with your thumb.
- Pull the diverter rod up with your other hand. This simple operation will force the water back through the detergent line of the hose and out through the Tank Vent Tube, thus flushing out any foreign matter or congealed detergent which may have had the hose blocked. (If the water does not come out of the Tank Vent Tube, open the water valve a little more and repeat the procedure.) When the water comes out of the Tube as shown in the picture, place your index finger over the top of the tube, thus forcing water thru the small Detergent hole at the bottom of the Tank.
- Now screw the Spray Tube Assembly back onto the handle and try your DISHMASTER to see if it draws suds properly. If you do not get any suds or if the suds will not shut off then you will need to replace the Needle Valve Kit, #264 (see photo). Alternatively, you can choose to replace the entire hose (see photo) or the hose and spray assembly (see photo). Replacing either of these will also fix the soap dispensing problem.
- Venturi in handle must be tight to hose.
- Check to make sure needle valve tip has not come off. (see photo), (pg. 5, M76 Instruction Manual )
- Check black hose at soap tube. If there is a crack, replace hose. Kit # 254, (pg. 5, M76 Instruction Manual )
- Make sure that there isn't a crack in clear hose from soap tube to the tank.
- Check spray disc . Holes should be open. You should be able to see "OUT" printed on the disc when reassembling. If you see "IN", the disc is installed backward, (pg. 5, M76 Instruction Manual)

If Cover Nuts Are Stuck
- Cover rings may corrode. Tap loose with screwdriver and hammer. Do NOT use channel locks as this may squeeze the rings out of round.
- If build up exists, try using a product to disolve mineral deposits such as CLR, vinegar or lemon juice.
